MWS Technology Improves Visibility and Efficiency Via Templates and Automation » TaskRay
MWS Technology, a SaaS company previously managing customer implementations with inefficient Word documents and lacking visibility and automation, significantly improved their onboarding process efficiency and visibility by adopting TaskRay's Salesforce-native project management solution featuring powerful templates and automation, thereby saving considerable time and money.
By systemizing their implementation process, TaskRay saves MWS Technology considerable time and money.
About MWS Technology
Industry: SaaS
Before TaskRay
- MWS Technology lacked a formal system for managing customer implementations, relying on Word docs and facing challenges with visibility and automation in their onboarding process.
After TaskRay
- TaskRay streamlined MWS Technology’s implementation process with powerful templates and automation, providing better visibility and significantly improving efficiency.
How MWS Technology Uses TaskRay
MWS Technology uses TaskRay to manage their customer implementation/onboarding process.
Why TaskRay?
Since their sales team was already on Salesforce, MWS knew they wanted a native project management solution. Other tools were considered, but none were as compelling. MWS learned about TaskRay from their Salesforce consultant, Kris McCabe, who was a TaskRay user himself. Once they saw the power of TaskRay's template and automation capabilities, they decided to implement it.
MWS Technology’s Pain Points Before Implementing TaskRay
- No formal system: MWS was using Word docs with long lists to manage their customer implementation processes.
- Lack of visibility: The sales team’s compensation is tied to implementation milestones, but they didn’t have a way to quickly view status.
- Desire for more information: MWS tried to create customizations on Salesforce to help with their repeating onboarding process, but found they weren’t able to achieve the level of automation they required without a lot of custom coding.
Bottom Line
TaskRay is on track to save MWS considerable time and money by systemizing their implementation process. They don’t have metrics yet, but the impact of TaskRay on their process is clear. As they put it, it’s “anecdotally measurable as not a nightmare anymore.”
Customer Onboarding
TaskRay is excellent for anyone doing a customer implementation process with Salesforce as the engine. In fact, I recommended TaskRay to someone just the other day.

Why MWS Technology Loves TaskRay
- Templates: MWS’s implementation process is complex, with every customer requiring a certain level of customization. Templates have revolutionized the way the team handles their different types of implementations. In the first six weeks, MWS kicked off with six new customers, which would have been difficult to manage before TaskRay.
- Views: Multiple project views are great for the MWS team and their customers, as each has their preference. The team favors kanban, while customers love the Gantt view.
- Automation: Closed/won automation allows MWS to spin off a parent project with one or several child projects for specific implementations.
- On Salesforce: Because TaskRay is 100% Salesforce native, MWS is easily able to create customizations and integrations. For example, they wrote an integration for raising cases for support. While the system for forecasting and reporting lives in Salesforce, MWS integrated this into their TaskRay workflow.
